Hopscotch

We decided to eat here last night after reading all the good reviews. The battered cod and chips were ok but a little overcooked and greasy for us. However, the bread and butter pudding and custard made up for that. It was absolutely delicious, and I would definitely recommend that.

Absolutely first class meal here last night. We couldn't decide on starters, so we had 3 between the pair of us. Highlights for me were the Calzones and my main, which was Mexican Pork Stack. It was absolutely fabulous from start to finish. Would recommend wholeheartedly to anyone.

This is a great restaurant serving good quality and excellently prepared food. We certainly don't mind paying for quality and this was certainly fantastic food. Good atmosphere and friendly service.A wide selection on the menu. We can recommend the Tournedos Rossini and Teriyaki Salmon.

My wife, daughter and I visited this evening. We received a warm welcome, great service and great food - both presentation and taste. We are not picky eaters but appreciate value for money and think that the restaurant offered this. Planning on returning before we leave.

Edit........we returned for a sunday lunch this year September 2023, they had run out of beef, not really an issue so we had the pork, the mash and vegetables were frozen not from fresh produce, the crackling was burnt, and the Yorkshire puddings were flat.I was so disappointed, sadly I will not be returning.I wasn't sure about visiting Hopscotch, I am very happy we did. When we got there a polite waitress was upfront with us and explained they were busy and there would be about a 30 to 40 min wait for food, we happily accepted this and were seated. While we looked over the menu we ordered some cocktails, espresso martini and a Singapore sling, both were delicious and generous in size, we were given some warm bread and alioi, we ordered the scallops for starters........ WOW cooked to perfection with black pudding and pea puree, beautiful dish. The main courses were a 10oz fillet steak and slow roasted belly pork...... We were blown away with the quality, presentation and of course the flavours, they jumped up smacked you in the face and left you wanting more. 100% will be going back. Ella was our waitress, we had an opportunity to speak with the chef at our table, an absolute diamond. In fact all the staff were friendly and helpful. I wish them all the success and looking to seeing them on our second visit in a few days. Thank you again guys!!

Gutted that I only found this place on my last day of my holiday.On reading the menu outside the restaurant I could tell immediately that these people know their food, both the a la carte and lunch menu read really well and got the mouth watering . Such a refreshing difference from the majority of restaurants around the area whose culinary expertise goes no further than , pizza, burgers and chips .Anyway we popped in for brunch , my daughter opted for a hash dish , chorizo, crispy potatoes, fried egg and more , was really tasty and presented beautifully. I had a focaccia bread sandwich with spicy chorizo , heaps of salad and a garlicky dip , also very tasty .Sorry my pictures do not really do the place justice .Highly recommend this lovely eatery.

We had a lovely meal at Hopscotch on Saturday, the food was really tasty and presented beautifully. There is plenty of choice for children. Dessert was also lovely. We had the salmon, scampi, mac & cheese, and chicken strips. Service was brilliant, We didn't feel rushed and was guided with accompaniment to our mains. For dessert, we had chocolate cake and cheesecake. We felt really valued as a customer. Would definitely return and recommend. Thank you
